Music Sunday in Canterbury

Many of the usual venues in Christchurch NZ were not available for this year’s Music Sunday owing to damage from earthquakes (and as I write this item for CMQ another afterschock has just struck). But this did not dampen the enthusiasm of RSCM NZ Canterbury Branch members and friends to participate in a joyous favourite hymns sing-along on Music Sunday, 24 Jun 2012, using St Peter’s Upper Riccarton Church Hall.

A special feature of the programme was a presentation of liturgical and secular items from the Balkans by the guest artist choir Musika Balkanica shown here during their performance.
