Christchurch “organised”

Christchurch organs surviving and historic can be heard if you tune into the Concert Programme evening broadcast next month.

Radio New Zealand Concert Appointment, at 7pm on Thursday 4 September will feature a programme about organs in Christchurch in the post-earthquake environment.

It will feature interviews and performances by Jeremy Woodside, playing the S Michael and All Angels refurbished organ. There will also be music from the Christ Church Cathedral organ recorded before the earthquakes, including dialogue from the past Dean, Lynda Patterson.

The programme has been produced by Margaret Ogilvie. Further information will be available on the Radio New Zealand website closer to the time.
