RSCM Director’s visit to NZ

The Director of RSCM, Andrew Reid, is visiting NZ during April 2015. His first port of call is Auckland. A 6.00pm Dinner for RSCMNZ Councillors is set for Fri 10 April at the Bishop Montieth Centre, Holy Trinity Cathedral Parnell followed by the RSCMNZ Council AGM at 7.30pm in the Cathedral. (For other local events visit Auckland’s page on this website). At 11.00am Saturday a meet-the-Director Brunch at Verve, a cafe close to the Cathedral, is a chance for socialising. Timothy Noon, Holy Trinity’s Director of Music, at 2.00pm gives a recital on the Auckland Town Hall organ. Andrew Reid will be guest speaker at an RSCMNZ Auckland Branch celebratory Buffet Dinner, 6.00pm Saturday 11 April in the Bishop Monteith Centre and a visit to a parish church on Sunday morning rounds off his Auckland stay. Wellington is the next main event which coincides with the Branch Annual Dinner Monday 13 April (6.00pm for 6.30pm) at All Saints Hataitai, at which Andrew Reid will be guest speaker. On Tuesday 12.45pm to 1.15pm Andrew gives an Organ Recital at St Paul’s Cathedral and then 2.00pm to 4.00pm he conducts at the Cathedral a practical workshop on liturgy and hymnody (go to Wellington’s page on this website for additional information). Next, it’s Christchurch where Andrew Reid will conduct, on Wednesday 15 April an 8.00pm, a choral workshop at St Michael & All Angels plus an organ recital by Andrew Reid there on the next night at 5.30pm (visit Canterbury branch page for additional information).
