Highlights ahead for Otago & Southland members

Some highlights of happenings ahead for RSCMNZ Otago & Southland Branch to held in Dunedin venues.

Youth Choir Service – Sunday 8 May 2016 – Celtic theme – at St. Paul’s Cathedral, involving in particular the two secondary schools that do belong to the RSCM (Columba & St. Hilda’s), and also extending invitations to other secondary schools too.

Youth members of our affiliated Church choirs will of course also be invited. George is sending out invitations to 12 choirs over the next week or so.

Annual General Meeting – rescheduled to 7pm, Wednesday 25 May @ St. Paul’s Cathedral, the Chapter Room. (Reports to be prepared by the Chair, and the Treasurer.) Refreshments will be available following the meeting.

Voice for Life – Sacred & Secular – Workshop – ‘Training scheme’ – particularly aimed at church & primary school music directors. Rescheduled for Saturday morning, 30 July 2016, based at St. John’s Roslyn. Attendance fee to be $20.00 waged / $10 unwaged.

RSCM Choral Festival Service, September 2016 – a suitable time & occasion is now being negotiated by George with St. Patrick’s Basilica, South Dunedin, as part of their refurbishment and re-opening celebrations. George is meeting on site with Fr Gerard Aynsley on Wednesday 1 June.
