St Peter’s 100th

RSCMNZ Waikato Branch member, St Peter’s (Anglican) Cathedral, Hamilton, is to present a “Centenary Music Festival Weekend.
Diary 19 to 21 August 2016 to be sure to enjoy all the events and fellowship.

FRIDAY 19 August
6.00 pm An Hour wth Handel A gala concert featuring Handel’s Chandos Anthems
Presented by Vox Baroque with soloists:Anna Mahon, Cecily Shaw, Kohi Jayatunge and Johnathan Eyers.
The concert will be followed immediately by a reception to launch the Festival.
Tickets for this event cost $20 (concession $15) and include refreshments.

SATURDAY 20 August
1.30 pm  Young people in Cathedral music
The Children’s Choir and young organ scholars present a concert
Afternoon tea in the Centre follows. Koha.

3.00 pm A quarter peal will be rung on the Cathedral Bells

5.00 pm Cantata Vespers A Service featuring bass soloist Ian Campbell

SUNDAY August 21
9:45 am Choral Eucharist with the Cathedral Choir and cathedral Singers singing a Mozart Mass with orchestral accompaniment. The service will be followed by a shared lunch.

1:15 pm Organ Recital by Anne Cleaver-Holm and Miles Hartley. Koha

5:00 pm Festival Evensong featuring a new Magnificat and Nunc Dimitis composed by Nigel Williams to celebrate the Cathedral centenary.
