St Mark’s Welcomes

The beautiful Service of Evensong is sung in local Churches and Cathedrals all over the world (usually at the end of a day). It is a time for reflection, tranquility, the beauty of prayer, readings and especially music . This can be based on repertoires from antiquity, the great eras of composition to modern times, and works by local composers.

St Mark’s Anglican Church, Remuera (95 Remuera Road) under leadership of Vicar, Rev’d Dr Tony Surman and Director of Music, Brian Millar, is offering a series of Evensong Services throughout the year (usually the third Sunday of each month) in keeping with this remarkable tradition. The next one in the series and the final for 2019 is at 5.00pm Sunday 17 November. BTW their Nine Lessons & Carols for 2019 is on the third Sunday in December starting 7.30pm – more information later.
