About RSCM New Zealand

The Royal School of Church Music New Zealand shares the objects of its parent body, The Royal School of Church Music in the United Kingdom.

Beyond the principal object of furthering in New Zealand the objects of the RSCM, RSCMNZ seeks to:

  • provide a forum within New Zealand of all Branches of RSCMNZ
  • provide within New Zealand a continuing education programme for all members
  • assist with the correlation of musical activities within New Zealand
  • help organise, guide and promote RSCM activities within New Zealand
  • co-ordinate resource supplies for the benefit of Branches
  • fund-raise for RSCM
  • be the voice of RSCM in the public arena
  • liaise with other national and international organisations
  • disseminate information
  • liaise with theological seminaries and other ministry training bodies
  • stimulate ecumenism
  • foster friendship amongst church musicians throughout New Zealand and overseas
  • negotiate concessions and contractual arrangements with publishers and copyright holders
  • publish musical works
