On Palm Sunday, 13 May 2014, Prince William, and Kate together with son George, were visiting Dunedin as part of the NZ tour by Their Highnesses, The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.
One of the events was attendance at the Palm Sunday morning Service at St Paul’s Cathedral in the Octagon.
The prince was observed at its conclusion to give a “nod of approval” to George: not the baby of the couple, but George Chittenden, Director of Music at the Cathedral and also RSCMNZ Otago & Southland Branch Chairman, and the choir for the fine singing for which they are renowned.
