DIRECTOR OF MUSIC
Auckland Cathedral of the Holy Trinity seeks to appoint an accomplished musician and conductor with a passion for sacred music and liturgy to the role of Director of Music. With the departure of the incumbent, Timothy Noon, to the position of Director of Music at Exeter Cathedral in the UK, the role will commence 17 January 2016.
The Director of Music will be:
&nsbp;&nsbp; &nsbp; &nsbp; confident, personable, and effective in the recruitment, retention and inspiration of the dynamic group of largely volunteer Choristers;
&nsbp; &nsbp; &nsbp; &nsbp; committed to the continuous improvement of the Cathedral Choirs, and of herself/himself as a musician, conductor and leader;
&nsbp; &nsbp; &nsbp; &nsbp; an able administrator, well-organised, with a sense of humour, and energised by working in a fast-paced environment;,br>
&nsbp; &nsbp; &nsbp; &nsbp; Principal of the recently established Cathedral Music School.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a committed Cathedral community, presently in the midst of a $14.5 million completion and consecration project. This is a 3/4 time position.
