July’s 2019 RSCM combined Australia/NZ Winter Choir School “SYDNEY inSPIRES” is getting closer and now is the time to register your intentions about participation (for early booking advantages).

Meantime note that on Saturday 6 July the programme is: 11.00am registration/check-in opens: 12.30pm Lunch, 1.30pm an Introduction to the week-long school programme and a quick rehearsal to prepare for the 2.30pm Opening Service at St Stephen’s Anglican Church (187 Church Street, Newtown; it’s 2km from St Paul’s so allow time for travel between locations – ensure you go to this address: there is a St Stephen’s Uniting Church at 197 Macquarie St Sydney).
The festival will feature the largest number of internationally famous church musicians at an Australian church music event including David Hill, Stephen Cleobury, Noël Tredinnick, Thomas Ospital, and Anne Marsden Thomas. The week will culminate with two major headline events, both in the iconic Sydney Town Hall: performances of J.S.Bach’s St Matthew Passion, and “Prom Praise”, which Noël Tredinnick has been staging for many years. Contemporary musicians will be catered for with the involvement of the “City Alight” band who will be leading the contemporary music strand of the conference as well as performing in “Prom Praise”.
