

The Royal School of Church Music (RSCM) truly “Let[s] All the World in Every Corner Sing” Through multitudinous channels and events, this world-wide Charity helps prosper the quality of singing praises to God in Churches and related platforms as part of its spiritual & educational programmes. A highlight outreach of these is the world-wide observance of the place of music in worship in the form of Music Sunday. Regions, and Branches, each in their own way mount their celebratory event. Year 2022 was an opportunity to focus on Queen Elizabeth II’s 70th Anniversary of her enthronement. RSCM commissioned Thomas H Jones to compose an Anthem, “In Our Service” , honouring the occasion. It was performed all over the world as part of Royal events and particularly during Music Sunday observances.

Auckland’s observance of Music Sunday 12 June 2022 at 3.00pm was in the form of a Festal Choral Evensong conducted at All Saints, Ponsonby. Anita Banbury and Neil Shroff conducted together with Helen Lukman-Fox accompanying on the Organ.
