Listen to the 70th Jubilee Sound clips

In Otautahi, Christchurch, on Sunday afternoon 19 June 2022, RSCM Canterbury members, friends and supporters gathered together to celebrate the 70th Jubilee of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II’s reign.

The occasion was also the observance of Music Sunday and our host this year was Our Lady of Victories Catholic Church, Sockburn. Music Sunday is a special feature in the annals of the Royal School of Church Music and the life of participating churches which is held world-wide around the middle of each year.

Sound clips were taken of this year’s event using modest cell-phone-like equipment. So lighting and sound are what they are. Nevertheless, the spirit and sincerity of all present more than overshadows technical limitations, and the clips are worthy of attention.
