Beyond the principal object of furthering in New Zealand the objects of the RSCM, RSCMNZ seeks to:

Beyond the principal object of furthering in New Zealand the objects of the RSCM, RSCMNZ seeks to:
be the voice of RSCM in the public arena
provide a forum within New Zealand of all Branches of RSCMNZ
provide within New Zealand a continuing education programme for all members
assist with the correlation of musical activities within New Zealand
help organise, guide and promote RSCM activities within New Zealand
fund-raise for RSCM
co-ordinate resource supplies for the benefit of Branches
disseminate information
liaise with other national and international organisations
liaise with theological seminaries and other ministry training bodies
stimulate ecumenism
foster friendship amongst church musicians throughout New Zealand and overseas
negotiate concessions and contractual arrangements with publishers and copyright holders
publish musical works
